Here are some of the pretties that recently landed on my desk. Take a good look, and if you see an item that you can’t live without, jump on it because most of these are limited spring and summer editions, only available for a short while.

Aqualillies for tarte celebrates extreme glam as exhibited by the gorgeous and talented underwater ballet troupe from which the moniker is borrowed. Bringing to mind “old Hollywood,” these synchronized swimmers know how to show off their prettiest faces, and tarte pays homage perfectly.

It’s going to be difficult to not fall madly in love with Aqualillies for Tart glamazon pure performance 12-hour lipstick ($26). Sure, the matte coral tint is hot, but it’s the tube that had my heart racing.

It’s a perfect trifecta of gold, coral and wood designed in an elongated slender case. The vibrant coral, not surprisingly, is the Aqualillies’ signature tint. The lipstick is infused with clay and is formulated to moisturize and nourish your lips.

The collection also includes this oversized compact boasting the signature turquoise, coral and gold scallop design.

The Amazonian clay waterproof eye and cheek palette ($38) makes the perfect vacation take along.

This generous palette features a full size blush, a half-dozen new eye shadow colors, bronzer, highlighter and a large mirror. Seriously, it’s the size of a saucer.

Check out the tarte cosmetics website to see the whole collection.

Dr. Hauschka

While Dr. Hauschka might bring to mind skin care, the company recently launched a Spring 2013 limited edition makeup collection that features this eye shadow trio ($39.95) boasting a sleek copper compact.

Unfortunately, copper seems to photograph pink, but that doesn’t take away from the lovely neutrals – shimmery cream, pale rose and deep chocolate – that complement pretty much every eye color. The eye shadows are boosted with plant extracts that help support the delicate eye area. And, in true Dr. Hauschka form, the eye shadows are free from synthetic preservatives and fragrances.

The collection includes a black eyeliner pencil with a smudging tool on one end ($17.95), as well as a soft eye shadow blending brush ($27.95) and a handy eye definer brush ($22.95). The brushes feature comfortable, slightly chubby handles.

M.A.C

Is it just me or does M.A.C seem to have a new launch every five minutes? Not that I’m complaining, especially when the Hayley Williams Collection for Spring 2013 prominently features one of my favorite colors – orange. It’s really not surprising when you consider that Paramore lead singer Williams sports in-your-face orange-tinged hair. And, let’s face it, with many of the hottest designers parading fiery oranges down the runway, it’s one of the trendiest tints for spring and summer this year.

The four-piece collection is an online-only exclusive available starting April 9.
